It looks like we will probably only be getting small change on the commission from book sales. I'll be surprised if we make more than $100/month in commissions. But it looks like they have to do almost no work for this money, so whatever little is raised will be some benefit.

I suspect that the real benefit to this affiliation lies elsewhere. It may make the NCN site more interesting to visitors. If it attracts more visitors then perhaps more of them will order dietary supplements where our real bread and butter is. If I'm not mistaken, grocery stores make almost no money off of the newspapers they carry. The profit margin is almost nonexistant. Yet they carry them because they attract customers who then go on to buy other things.

Also, just being affiliated with the Barnes and Noble name may generate some beneficial publicity for our small company which could give a slight boost in the stockprice. Even if the affiliation isn't that big a deal, if people perceive it to be important, then it is important.
