Yes, but state Medicaids tend to be fairly rigorous in the asset analysis. The crucial thing is the "Lookback rule" -- which everyone just tries to beat. And it comes down to whether parents are willing to turn their money over to "the kids" before they get sick enough to go to a nursing home. If families see it coming they essentially put the assets away in advance of needing the money and dump it all on Medicaid. I don't even know if those rules apply to Medicaid Expansion cases.
