What bothers me about Novell Today I met with a school principal in charge of technology implimentation about training being given to high school students in the area of web related technologies. Me--What system are you implimenting for your network I asked. Principal---Novell 4.1. but we will have to wait until next year to put up our website. Me--Have you asked your vendor about IntraNetware, it includes the software for a web site? Principal---We probably can't afford it. Me--But its free to recent customers and you haven't even received your system yet from your vendor. Can't he get it from Novell for you? Principal---I don't know. Obviously the vendor didn't call this customer, a prime candidate for IntraNetware and inform him that the product even existed. This is the second time I have had personal experience talking to someone working with Novell VARs or talking to VARs myself where a critical Novell product wasn't suggested to the customer. What gives Mr. Marengi? Twenty million dollars and the VARs don't know the product exists?
