Some people on this board imply that the fall of the dollar spells serious trouble for the US. In fact it's not a serious issue at all! It will definitely have some positive consequences, though it might also have a few negative consequences -- at worst, it'll be a wash.

Whether it is or is not is subject to reasonable debate, however the theory that a falling US$ is going to FORCE the FED to hike interest rates is a much much weaker argument and in fact I do not buy it at all.
