Ahh David... You still don't get it, do you?

But they do require an OS and application server. Who makes the fastest, most secure server around? Why, Novell, that's who.

Imagine your running WordPerfect for Java on all of your NCs. By using NetWare as the server platform for the loading of Java and the apps, you gain all of the inherent strengths of NetWare that no other server platform provides. Rather than becoming obsolete, NetWare can become the best.

Novell has already committed to providing the Java virtual machine as a server-based engine. They already have the experience in the distributed network client "shell" required to distribute network services to any and all client platforms. Rather than bet against the old NetWare 3.x, I'm betting for the new IntranetWare 4.x.

Do you think that the Internet will kill AOL, or do you think that AOL will become the ultimate ISP? I believe the latter, simply because there's too much at stake for them not to. The same is true of Novell.
