Dan, may I ask YOU a question?
I was struck by the following passage in your post:
Of course I like my guys better cause that leans to my belief.(And cannot be proved a lie) Same with yours.
I was struck by it because it presumes all arguments are partisan -- or that at least this one was.
My guys? Actually, I don't care, personally, whether most of the Founding Fathers were Christians or Deists (and may I remind you that the latter were neither atheists nor agnostics). As long as I am satisfied that, as a group, they championed the principle of separation of Church and State, ascertaining their specific individual beliefs is, for me, no more than a matter of scholarly interest.
Besides, sometimes one has to accept the truth, however distasteful one may find it. Have you ever had the experience of finding out that something you did not want to be true was, in fact, true? If so, did you accept the truth, or deny it?
