" ...no prob; we're always pushing one another - folks who read only this thread should be able to see that we are close friends (^_^) Amongst the boxes of child-hood stuff that we've been going through here at the homestead, are all these old things from our childhood past. Found this cartoon cut out from some ancient New Yorker, pasted to my chemistry note-book cover; it shows all these smoke-stacks spewing out little chemical letters, like NO2 SO2 H2S CO KHF2 etc.; cute. So I flip this little yellow scrap of paper over and it's some fragment of a short-story... The big clock upstairs chimes seven. The priest comes in and feet shuffle. Mamie cannot see the altar when everyone is standing. She stares at the candle. The service begins. Will the friends who have come from warm London catch their death of colds ? ...have no idea who the author is. Or when, or what. Just rite words in rote order ;-) >why not short the US banking sector... hmmm... TechStox look a little short-term over-bought; Banks - I dunno, DJ - they seem to be basing or something. -Steve
