Hal - excuse the "late hit" - have gotten a little behind on my thread reading. re: If it is so easy to substitute Netscape for Internet Explorer on a Wintel clone Clone of what? The only "clones" anymore are the decreasing "white box" market... BTW I don't use either IE or Netscape as my primary browser, and the machine which hosts most of my web activity does not run Windows... there are a few occasions when I shift to a Win2K box running IE, usually for streaming media... but I have had no problems installing Netscape on either NT or Win98, and have done that a couple of times recently, partly just to see what would happen. It was no more difficult than any other application install.
