Gilder spoke at this Gartner Group event for about 1/2 hour (Can't wait for my cable modem) Caught part - standard sharp, insightful and compelling Gilder. Opened with a philosophical charge to not "solve problems" but to "pursue opportunities" (a seeming admonishment to the RBOCs and other status quo to not resist change but to embrace it) Made hallmark point of bandwidth becoming abundant, with silicon (as we move to single chip) and power becoming scarce.
