One can check good semi cos and see if there's any unusual insiders' transactions on POWI; I'll list a few here, Linear Technology(LLTC, recent addition to SP500), Maxim Integrated Products(MXIM, recent addition to SP500), Semtech, Micrel, etc, etc...
The guy who sold all his vested shares reminds me about Bob Whelton, COO of Micrel. He sold all his vested shares at his first anniversary at Micrel 2-3 years ago, he hasn't sold much since then. He was a VP in National, and then move to Micro Linear, so one can imagine he really hasn't made much from stock option in these two companies. Micrel is the first company which he experienced this "wealth effect". :)
One thing that I'll evaluate before I invest in this kind of technology driven company is whether the founders stick with the company after IPO. In POWI's case, they are, same as Sandisk!
