Hello KL and CB;

I greatly appreciate the participation on this board by the two of you.

That being said I believe KL's , "Cheney and Halliburton want that Iraqi oil at any cost" remark generates more heat than light and as such impedes our ability to conduct our inquiries in a dispassionate manner. Similarly, CB's, "Giving aid and comfort to the enemy does immediately spring to mind, and that's the nicest thing" is an unwelcome negative characterization of a fellow poster and everyone is aware of my opinion on that subject.

Please understand, I'm not asking either of you change your opinions -- it's just that these opinions are not appropriate subjects for public discussion on the Foreign Affairs Discussion Group.

Best regards,
--ken
