Hello Lorne,
A good question!
Probably has more to do with the physiological effect then it has to do with the main mission.
The worlds known for sometime that China wants to overcome the U.S-$ as the worlds dominant dollar and what better way to do it, other then advertize it, they already lead the world in production and exports so who better then them?
All this started back in 1980 when they showed the world that they were ready to take an important step towards achieving one of its major goals – "elevating itself from solely a global manufacturing power into a global financial power".
So this is really no surprise, they have a long way to go of course, ... for starters, ... they have to deal with the world central banks, .... or as Rob puts it ... "The World Central Banksters" and we all know how they operate.
lol.
QUOTE: <“It is apparent that more and more central banks are realizing that alongside the secular decline of the USD (U.S. dollar) as a reserve currency, the RMB is the most likely currency to challenge the near-monopoly position of the USD in the global reserve system,” Jun Ma, Deutsche Bank’s chief economist for Greater China, wrote in a June 25 2011 report.">
No doubt a showdown is not to far off! |
