"U.S. Appeals Court Ruling Lets Cable Giants Widen Their Reach"

nytimes.com

Is it just me or are the Federal Appeals Court rulings associated with big business practices paving the way for big corporation "free for alls -- and anything for the buck" tactics which will impact all of our rights and welfare. The appearance is that they (the Federal Appeals Court) basically could care less about existing anti-trust laws and fair-trade regulations. If this is the case maybe these laws and regulations should just be repealed and purged from the books. At least then plaintiffs and concerned parties could mercifully forego all the toil, heartache, and costs of straightforward translation of existing laws and regulations and their rights associated with these laws in the court system.

My thoughts are similar on the recent Federal Appeals Court appearance of lack of application of existing antitrust laws to MSFT and company. Maybe these laws should simply be repealed since the court systems appear unable (or more appropriately unwanting due to special interest lobbying, i.e. money) to enforce them.

Where was it I read that complete de-regulation is a sure signal of a system corrupted and gone "amok". It is the precursor of an impending crash of a hyper-business social cycle.
