Do you have a different determination? How do you make yours? None of us are running complex polling and data analysis operations. We all have our own opinions.

The idea of having the first black president gets Obama a lot of buzz. I understand it, even as someone who couldn't vote for him because of political differences and who opposes giving people jobs because of their race, I still feel just a bit of the excitement, and I witness much more of it in others.

And then there are many people who won't vote for him because he is black. Reporters have interviewed people in cities and towns throughout the country. They say he's Muslim when he's not to explain why they are not voting for him; or there is something funny about him; they don't trust the way he looks; or his name sounds foreign and they don't think he's an American citizen, etc.
