Clearly there is no catholic interpretation of the Koran. There is also no catholic interpretation of the Bible, new or old.

I have no problem with the Catholic interpretation of the Bible. But my opinion on that is not a catholic opinion.

I know the Catholic interpretation of the Bible is not even catholic among Catholics. But there is an absolute chief interpreter.

The Koran can be interpreted by any farra, binnie or harry as set up by Mohammed. To stand above the crowd, a soap box or some such is helpful.

The Bible is no different. But twisting the words of the New Testament to justify evil I think is far more difficult.
The old Testament is a different ball game.
