We eagerly await these pictures--I am off to the store to buy more Halloween candy as I ate the three bags I bought earlier this week-a Milky Way for every downtick, a Hershey's for each 1/16 of a point drop.

How times have changed in our household. The boxes of Halloween decorations are still in the attic. No cobwebs in the corners, no spiders hanging from the chandeliers, no ghosts in the trees..I did buy several pumpkins at the grocery store in a burst of residual atavistic memory; they rolled around the back of the van with the baseball equipment until yesterday when I rolled them out onto the driveway, an artistic arrangement awaiting demolition by a wayward tire.
I remember with such pleasure the Halloween I wrapped myself in a black cape and painted my face blue and white and sat on the front porch holding a lit skull, cackling and saying nasty things to all the little ballerinas and Draculas stumbling up the front steps. Dan made me stop when one child went screaming off across the lawn. I guess he was afraid of lawsuits.
Ah---hand me my cane--there's a dear. By the way, did you put dry ice in the cauldron? I did that for a second grade party and it was a BIG hit.
