What ever happend to "internet" speed! - if Novell looks in a mirror they would be looking at a 1200bps modem!

This from PCweek On-Line....

I always go to these meetings trying to keep an astute ear for what is not said on the podiums and in the hallways as much as for what is being championed at the microphone. Here are a few of my takes on top
items not mentioned at the Dolphin hotel.

NetWare. Sorry, but if loss of mind share in the CIO community ultimately leads to loss of market share, the gang from Utah really has its work cut out for it. I heard more discussions on intranets and the Internet than I care to remember, but nary a word about building off the huge installed NetWare base. In fact, the onlymention of NetWare that I came across was an offhand remark by Bill Gates, who was also a bit perplexed that the issue never came up.

OS/2. In NetWare's defense, Novell really didn't havethe opportunity to state its case during the conference, or at least not at the seminars I attended. IBM was another story. With Chairman Lou making a rare public appearance, IBM certainly had the chance to once and
for all lay to rest the substantial speculation that OS/2 is
going into a low-level maintenance mode. With no boosterism from IBM on OS/2, the speculation in the hallways only intensified about an impending scale-back.
