ld- When politics get too bleak, it's comforting to remind ourselves that we can always move to another country. But how many of us are serious about it? snot as easy as it sounds. temporary visiting is easy, staying is harder... and working is harder still. sooo... it's not really very comforting unless you have an income stream that does not require your presence at work. then you can perpetually be "just visiting" other countries until your visa expires. that reminds me... i saw an ad for the peace corps yesterday and it listed the web address: peacecorps.gov i think i'll go take a look. -el
