dija/octavian said --Well, queen, not to nitpick the bashers' motivations and true beliefs, but when I read a post like marketlover's, I have to question if they are really "smart enough to know..."
It sure doesn't seem as though marketlover knows. He seems truly to believe there might at least be a chance of recouping his bear market losses via legal channels.
One thing that is VERY clear is that he has not accepted ANY of the responsibility. In his bewildered mind, his losses are ALL brinker's fault.
It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.
100% correct as usual, dija. I guess I should have said "Hardcore Bashers" because that is what I meant. This new guy calling for (or inquiring about) "sue, sue, sue" seems to be more of a neophyte. How many times have we been over the old "sue, sue, sue" nonsense in the past ten years? The whole idea is STILL as preposterous as it was the first hundred times or so. If everyone sued their financial advisor for advice that didn't work out right, no one except the lawyers would get anything done.
My point was yes, yes, yes, they've TALKED about suing or prosecuting Brinker for years--but that's all they EVER do, in spite of our encouragement to go ahead, talk to the SEC or their local D.A. And please be sure to let us know everything he/she/they tell you. We could use the laughs to start off the New Year. |
