Unfortunately, they are unable or unwilling to double their bloat every 18 months. The thin client model doesn't require a PC, but the network servers are not providing each client with the processing power that the PC has available. Neither the client nor the server has the kinds of applications that require the power available on the PC. The server is primarily concerned with data exchange with many clients and many other servers.
