compaq presario problem: start button brings up word COMPAQ-then screen says -Status- Resume from disc in progress-bar in middle loads-then screen goes blank except for cursor upper left corner. How do I get into system to run windows 98 or get it to load. I rebooted 4 times-took out battery and unplugged -let sit for 10 min-started it up but same screen loading then blank-except for blinking cursor-no backup disc-just windows disc for PC but it does nothing when I installed it-I hear it spinning. Help anyone.
