Use of four- or five-syllable words with Greek roots is not a sign of advanced civilization or "cleverness". If you want to see good financial prose (not Gilder's bubble gum stuff), read Grant's Interest Rate Observer. Caveat: Grant seems to have been bearish since the earth was cooling.
