Vendie - When I used to live in NY where the trooper must appear to prosecute the case, I would mail in the not guilty plea. After a trial date was assigned, I would call the court to change the date. Invariably, the trooper wouldn't show up for the changed date and the charges would be dropped. FWIW, dave
