"From the beginning there was an expectation ... that there would be some type of military intervention at some point," he said in a CNBC interview Wednesday. If we attack Iraq, the war will be measured against the Gulf War in both intensity and duration, Simmons said. However, this war "won't be that quick or decisive," he added. Simmons investments have become more cautious, with more cash and bond holdings than under more normal circumstances.
