USB Modems

The point that the Pairgain rep was making was that you could build an external ADSL modem (using the Falcon chipset) which connects and is powered through the USB port. Since an external power source isn't required, the price of this modem will be substantially cheaper.

I can't remember the max. data rate that a USB port can handle, but I do remember that it is capable of handling a full-rate ADSL modem.
