Musya, Your post made me smile. I was mainly in Kazan/Tartastan 95 and Moscow 94 with a medical team. The surgeons were doing open heart on kids. The hospital in Kazan was built in 1820 and had a less sterile field than a kitchen in most coprorate cafeterias. It was a life changing experience. We were under the careful watch of the Prime Minister Of Tartastan, but were involved with the patients and hospitals staff so we were able to observe all levels of politics. The consensus of the team about American business not able to take a formidable hold was due to the inability where and how to place the bribes. It was simply a way of doing things and the mafia was the landlord. Still, the generosity, friendship and warmth of the Russian people I met will stay with me always. Anyway, DCTC is showing some warmth today. Feels good! Onward, George
