Actually Dave, it's you that don't seem to understand equity. Equity means that a share of the company is OWNED by McSame's guy. If the company grows, so does his EQUITY, or share.

So, it's in his interest that the company GROW. The more the company grows, the more his partnership equity is worth. He's STILL on the take.

Simple.
