You're describing the past. This is what has happened in Iran and in the past. My comments were forward looking and involved a country with a completely different ethnic and religious make-up than Iran to boot.

Going forward, I'm willing to put a little faith in the young people of the ME to look around themselves and prevent a structure such as Iran today from happening again. Only time will tell if this is wishful thinking on my part, but I'm sure not going to change my opinion because of descriptions of the past. Seems to me that it's 'the past' that these people are trying to overthrow right now so I'm puzzled why you even bring up the past to make your argument.

same thing will happen in Libya and Egypt.

Is it possible you're hoping for failure in these countries? And were you so negative when Bush tried to change the ME and bring democracy to Iraq?
