Yes, but still if it would be all about oil the logical thing would be to help Qaddafi. He is a known quantity.... very known. What the new guys will do is not known at all. Recall that it took the mighty US military several years - and great commitment and sacrifice - to fight off the al Qaeda types in Iraq. No one will even consider doing the same in Libya. It is quite likely that the country will get taken over by the bad guys, including the oil.
