No tie-up of phone line for me...2-way trans. with 10 megs a sec. both ways (optimal...I have been getting about 3megs a sec. up and down data feed avg.). I am in the Beta test program...free until it ends. When it ends it will be $40 per month and that's with the Motorola modem included. Since I was paying $20 a month with Netcom and $18 a month for the extra phone line, it was a no-brainer for me. $2 more a month and I get a $500 cable modem included. Oh yeah, forgot to say that @home/comcast waived the $175 install fee for me since it is a beta test period. Far as I'm concerned I made out like a bandit. This service is great so far...need to see how stable it is over time though. I don't really expect any flaws because of how it's been running so far, they really did a good job launching this in my area. Had some computer friends over last night (word got out) they were foaming at the mouth as I surfed and downloaded. I honestly do not remember ever being this content while on the internet...truly amazing! Rich
