Precious Gems are Diamonds, Rubies, SAPPHIRES and emeralds.

Diamond mining is by far most wide spread and diamonds is the most well known of all the precious gems. There is an excess supply of diamonds and the situation will worsen as discoveries in Canada come into production. The De Beers cartel have kept diamonds prices stable. The picture is less clear in the future.

Emeralds cannot escape from the Columbia links and mystique whilst rubies and SAPPHIRES have received little media attention and publicity, maybe until recently in the movies like Titanic.

Rubies and SAPPHIRES are of the same mineral group - corundum. Ruby is the red variety of SAPPHIRES. The folklores and history of rubies and sapphires are as colourful as these gems.

In recent history, Prince Charles of Wales gave our beloved Princess Diana a most priceless SAPPHIRE RING for their betrothal. The "STAR OF INDIA" is world renown........

SAPPHIRE is a multi-billion dollar industry !!! MORE OF THAT NEX TIME.

Meanwhile visit: nina-sd.com
