I think management is serious about trying to win back the trust of current and future shareholders.

I'll say! I listened to the cc and they certainly were hammered by the analysts who dug into every little detail. I've never heard such blatant, detailed, unapologetic scrutiny before. Bradford was calm and detailed in the responses, though one still comes away with a "show me" feeling.

don't think they'll make the 500K target in 2007
As far as hitting the target, I dunno. However, it does sound like the 23 biox tanks are being filled or are filled. This makes sense as it takes a while to grow the bugs for each tank. GSS also stated that the crusher mills are commissioned, they are separate circuits and will be running oxide ore in order boost oxide production in 3Q. Sounds like they will go into production in very early 4Q06 as the BOD will be in Ghana in December (read 1st week as NOBODY travels close to Christmas) to announce, celebrate Biox and approve a Feasibility Study for the Prestea site. Also I noted that Ops Supervisors were sent to Australia for Biox plant training...hmmm...wonder why they didn't just go across the way to Tarkwa to GFI's plant? I'm sure there will be start up glitches, unfortunately non-engineer analysts might not understand that these are normal and might further perpetuate the "show me" attitude.

I think they're a target here, but given their high costs other players are probably waiting to see if the BIOX works.
No need for GFI to question the technology. In fact, since they are the experts it might just make sense for them to buy out GSS should they stumble. There have to be all kinds of cost synergies and savings with two plants so close together, kind of like a regional processing hub. That said GFI is banking on a sizable production increase from their new plant in Venezuela. If that project goes bad, GSS could be a back up plan. Also I note GFI's strategy seeks companies that are "unloved, undervalued." [Wait that fits OZN too! <g>]

I'll probably want to diversify into other issues
