Eagle Environmental Announces Management Team Expansion; Annual Meeting Is June 16 PR Newswire - June 01, 1999 07:15
RENO, Nev., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Wilmot, chairman and chief executive officer, announced today that Hank Gillette, who recently joined the company with Eagle's acquisition of Heat, Steam and Power (HSP), has been named president and chief operating officer of Eagle Environmental Technologies Ltd. (publicly traded since 1994) (OTC Bulletin Board: EGVRD). The appointment of Gillette is consistent with Eagle's expansion into various environmental endeavors and will enable the company to capitalize on Gillette's 30 years' experience in waste treatment.
"Hank's exceptional experience in waste treatment, transportation and marketing are unmatched," said Brian Wilmot. Most recently, Gillette has been an independent consultant to a number of environmental companies, including HSP. Among his many accomplishments, Gillette was president and chief executive officer of Evergreen Environmental Group Inc. (Cleveland, Ohio), which was acquired in 1992 by Republic Waste Industries Inc. (Atlanta) in a transaction valued at $12 million. The Evergreen Environmental Group consisted of four operating subsidiaries: the Evergreen Plant Inc. (waste stream disposal, recycling and processing); Chem-Freight Inc. (hazardous waste transport); Trans-Clean Inc. (remedial clean-up) and American Laboratories (environmental research and development).
"We are enthusiastic about this appointment, which will accelerate Eagle's advancement into the waste management industry, while affording us the opportunity to utilize Hank's skills in mergers, acquisitions and market development," said Wilmot.
Jerry Wilmot, prior president of Eagle, has been named executive vice president of Eagle and acting president of Lone Eagle Technology Site, Inc., a majority owned subsidiary of Eagle). Upon Eagle's anticipated acquisition of the 150-acre Swan Lake liquid hazardous waste disposal and recycling facility in Texas, Jerry will focus on facility operations and the establishment of Lone Eagle's Technology Development Center for innovative waste recycling systems. His responsibilities will include continued development and marketing of Eagle's premier commercial and residential WaterClear(TM) treatment systems. "By effectively reallocating our management resources, we expect to move more rapidly toward our goals," said Brian Wilmot.
The management appointments will be finalized at Eagle's annual shareholders meeting, which will be held in Reno on June 16, 1999. Wilmot indicated that further additions to the management team are expected as the year progresses.
Eagle Environmental Technologies Ltd. is an acquisition-oriented business enterprise focused on environmental remediation, reclamation and integrated systems for waste treatment, water recycling and air purification systems.
