Actually IBM is pushing OS/2 ...
1. New version just came out with interesting internet connectivity/tools.
2. Their OS/2 Lan Server significantly outperformed both NW4.1 & WinNT in one of the PC trade rags a few weeks ago. (OK, OK, like anybody cares! <grin>
3. The rest of the Systemview family of products (now called TME10, since the Tivoli buyout) is being ported to OS/2. (So users of smaller networks can be managed w/o having to buy a UNIX box to run the software).

OS/2 is not dead, but it obviously isn't doing as well as IBM would like it to. They are certainly not doing a lot of consumer-targeted advertising, but IBM is getting a fair ROI in niche markets. Don't look for it to go away any time soon.
