"the story makes me wonder what happened to the bureaucrats who sold the illegal drivers' license data?" Yep! I thought exactly the same thing: why weren't they punished for violating the law? Why do they get off while the bank who bought the data gets slammed? (Maybe the State bureaucrats had some kind of administrative action taken against them --- or maybe not --- but I haven't seen anything in the news about them being sanctioned at all.)
