The Perot movement was too late to win.

I think I remember him on the Donahue show(?) when it was first suggested he run. It was late, but still, the risk of such a precedent that an independent might win the WH is at the high end of the odds, notwithstanding the anger, IMO. The other factor between now and next November is how much fire in the belly we see in other top contenders who might take a lot of that thunder away from Trump.
