She was forced to hire a city manager because she wasn't up to the task of managing a town of 5000. Yet she still got more than $60,000 a year. To put this in perspective, Galveston has similar arrangement (and by the way was the first city to implement a mayor/city manager type of government) and is 10 times the size. The mayor is an unpaid position.

Like I said, I was trying to be fair. I figured in the end she would hang herself.
