I was impressed with Kaiser. My wife got sick several years back when we were on Maui. She got an infection that went systemic, and she was hospitalized at Kaiser, which had a coordination benefit with our HMO in Washington State. We didn't pay a dime, even though if she'd been hospitalized back home, we'd have had a hefty co-pay.
