Allen, any other Egghead out there.

I use this phraseology because I received a magazine called "Egghead Update" today! Note the prices in this magazine become valid tomorrow, 11 July until 31 July....You need to call 1-800-344-4323 for express ordering and they told me you can expect to receive your orders within two to three days. And there, by God, on pages 39 and 40 were:
Syquest's EZ Flyer 230mb cartridge for $ 33.91
Syquest's EZ Flyer 230mb for 299.91

right below was:

Western Digital's 1.2 GB for 229.99
1.6 GB for 279.96
2.1 GB for 329.93
2.5 GB for 379.99

they had information on both, but in the upper left hand corner and on the following practically 2/3 page was the JAZ and the ZIP.

Iomega's Jaz, described as an ideal anwer for multimeda, Jaz
Drives and Disks are the ideal solution for storing, transporting playing multi-media applications. They indicated you can pack 1GB
on each disk, and there are no limits to the number of disks you can use. Also "Egghead" listed:
-12 millisecond average seek time
-250,000 hours MTFB
-5.5 1MB/ssec.average transfer rate. Prices?

Jaz Drive cartridge 129.95
Jaz Drive internal 399.94
Jaz Drive external 499.98

You can also visit egghead at: egghead.com.

Page 40, the last page! Talked about the Zip and special offers from Iomega where you could save up to $119.86. Several items were listed as they discussed "what do you do when you run out of data storage space, but can't afford a bigger drive? Get the next best thing--the Iomega Zip Drive. Alluded to the fact that the portable storage device holds all the stuff you need for work or play on inexpensive removalbe disks that hold up to 200MB of compressed data. Serveral products were listed, but the highlights were:

Zip 3 pack PC 49.96
Zip 6 pack PC 99.93
Zip 10 pack PC 129.90 (after mail-in rebate)
Ditto Easy 800 149.90
Zip Drive SCSI 149.97 (after rebate)
Zip Drive Parallel 149.97 (after rebate)

Iomega via Egghead is offering free zip caddies with 10 Zips, and a free zip carrying case.

Sorry for taking up so much space, but for those of you who are desperate to find these....sounds like an answer to prayer. Remember, this starts tomorrow! I thought it particularly interesting that
the "Egghead Update" chose Iomega for the last page, where your name and address are listed. A place that already has your attention. Also the visual on the last page just has to be seen. As one reads about Syquest and WD, I think the consumer easily makes the comparison and it's not a difficult decision to resolve.

Good luck....Long on Iomega,

Archie
