Apparently they can't find anything to buy. 09/20 09:07 Datascope Declares $2.00 Special Dividend and 40% Increase in Quarterly Dividend MONTVALE, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/20/04 -- Datascope Corp. (NASDAQ: DSCP) announced today that its Board of Directors declared a special dividend of $2.00 per share, and an increase in its regular quarterly dividend to 7 cents a share from 5 cents a share. Both dividends are payable on October 8, 2004 to shareholders of record on September 30, 2004. The company said that the Board of Directors of Datascope decided to increase the regular dividend because of the company's strong balance sheetand positive outlook for free cash flow. In declaring the special dividend, the Board, noting the current favorable tax environment, decided to share with stockholders cash accumulated from operations that was not needed to fund investment and growth.
