Hello ALL TA'ers,
TAOTB II is ready to go!!!!! It will be held July 11 through July 13 in New Jersey and ALL ARE WELCOME!!! I'm sure there are many out there who are wondering what TAOTB II is so let me explain..
A few years ago Richard and I were on the Prodigy Boards searching the Money Talk Subjects looking for anything interesting that might help our trading results. We both came upon a Subject called Day Trading and gave it a whirl. It didn't take either of us long to figure out that the "leader" of the Boards had no clue whatsoever about any type of trading, never mind day trading. In most cases that would not be a problem BUT in this case there were people actually throwing their Money away on "TIPS" from this person who fancied himself as an "expert". To make a long story short, Richard and I joined forces with a few others to "EXPOSE" the fake and save a few people their hard earned cash.. The other result of this adventure is it formed a FRIENDSHIP between Richard and myself that may never end....
After the Day Trader Subjects proved NOT to be a place where we could go to sharpen our trading skills we looked high and wide for another.. After Months of searching Richard called me and said he had enough and the ONLY way to have a place for TA would be to CREATE it ourselves. He floated the idea around the Prodigy Boards and EVERYONE who heard it told him he was CRAZY. They said it would NEVER work and he would just be wasting his time. When He called me I thought the same thing BUT I've wasted my time before so why not do it again??? Besides, Richard had proved to be a friend and a GREAT TA'er so if I'm going to waste time I might as well waste it with him... TAersville was started. At first it was just Richard and I sending messages back and forth. After a while others joined in and finally we had a "community"!
I do not need to go into everything that transpired over the next few years. The Technical Analysis Subjects were not a waste of time and many friendships developed through them. The Prodigy years climaxed with the First Technical Analysis On The Beach (TAOTB) conference held in Biloxi Mississippi where Thirty Four TA'ers from around the Country got together for a weekend of PURE TA and Bonding.. It was an event!!!! In fact, it was such an event we decided to do it again, at least once a year... And that's where we are now..
TAOTB is FREE! Yes, there might be some expenses that we will pass the hat around for BUT there is no cost to attend. We do it because we want to Learn, Teach, and Share TA with others. We will have several presenters that will share their techniques and experiences. We will talk about Trading, Software, Money Management and ANYTHING else that the audience wishes.. TAOTB is YOUR MEETING so please take advantage of it..
I will be posting updates as soon as I get them. So far I can tell you the following:
1. TAOTB will be help in New Jersey.
2. The dates are July 11, 12, 13
3. It will be in the Morris County Area (near Newark Airport)
4. Richard, Andy, Jerry (Big Dog), Joe, Tim, Chan (1 day), Derek will present
5. There will be more presenters.
6. There is NO COST FOR ADMISSION!
7. Hotel not confirmed yet.
8. You owe it to yourself to be there!!!!
I'll be back soon with more information BUT you all need to mark your Calendars AND start posting if you will be there. I need to get a count so I can negotiate a better price for the rooms...
