Oh, I agree. I've seen some women through the years treat their ex-husbands viciously, block his efforts to see his children more often and squander the child support they were getting to boot.

One thing I like about the trend to mailing of child support checks to the courthouse, which then forwards the check onto the mother, is that this does create documentation that protects both sides. A women, for ex., can't claim her husband is squelching. And the man feels a little more pressure to keep up with his payments.

I've had attorney friends say this one change in the system has done wonders for keeping both exes in line.
