Internut mania DOES cause inflation.

Houses wouldn't be so expensive in Austin, Seattle, or Silicon Valley if it weren't for the extreme amounts of wealth created through the stock market. The rampant speculation in tech stocks has glutted the market with buyers who have had their "wages" inflated 1000x through stock options. Yes, Dell makes money, and so does Microsoft, but if Bill gates' net worth was only 23% of microsoft's annual profits, he would not be worth anywhere near the 80 billion that the stock market has given him.

So, what happens if we invest social security in big cap tech stocks? Lets say the best of all possible things happens and the investment returns 1000x. So suddenly everyone in the country is worth a billion dollars. Well- guess what? Buying a house in Seattle looks easy then!

A can of coke costs $50,000 dollars. A loaf of bread a quarter mil.

But that can't be inflation. No sir.. Inflation has nothing to do with the stock market. Just ask "easy Al" greenspan!
