When was that article reprinted, BTW? Now, why do companies go public? To raise money. Also, to increase the financial base, and to attract new management and make acquisitions. And, finally, for prestige or liquidity. Why would a company stay private? So that it wouldn't have to share net income, relinguish control, disclose company information,or BE ACCOUNTABLE TO SHAREHOLDERS. But the company is public and not private.
