Jim:

You state:
> It is obvious! MICROSOFT IS NOT IN THE SEA after 6 years of McNealy's efforts.

Moreover, they have gotten enormously stronger. McNealy is in retreat with his Solaris versus NT. JAVA has been positioned as yet another language by MSFT. Netscape is losing marketshare to IE. The SPARC architecture is facing the challenge of MERCED in the comming months. Revenues from JAVA are insignificant compared to MSFT software revenue. The NC as I predicted turned out to be yet another X-terminal market. There is no profit in the NC for SUNW because the low cost PC's have economies of scale beyond the reach of the NC. SGI has embraced the WINTEL model. IBM, HP, CPQ, DELL, DEC, etc all will be building servers based on MERCED.

Many of the SUNW executives have jumped ship for other jobs.I expect many more will leave in the comming months.

McNealy's dreams have turned into pipe dreams.

I strongly suggest to you, (and I do not know how else to emphasize on this), to go ahead and take a huge short position in SUNW, PLEASE! I will be more than glad to take the shares you will be planning to sell from you.

My very best regards to you (with my sincere hope that you follow my suggestion),
