*AV*--EQNX--serial I/O products and modem pools. They have an impressive OEM list they provide to. However, they released good earnings on the 20th after saying that there were not going to be good in December. Clever way to beat expectations when you set the street of for low expectations. Profits were up higher. But all this is history now with the release on 2/20/97. Buy on mystery and sell on history is a nice phrase. I would watch this stock very closely and if you decide to buy in, do it after you think it has settled back into a more acceptable price range. I think you will see a retracement in this stock over the next 2 weeks which may trigger a better entry point. That's my opinion.

WFR is one of the top 3 long term investments. I will go on record to say that I beleive anyone who purchases this stock under $27 should put it in the vault and forget about it until you read that it has reached $50. This will be a reality once or twice in the next 36 months at the very most. Hopefully it will be this year but as I stated, this is a long term investment. It's like the oil companies. Evenmtually they will hit the price objective because we cannot live without our cars and home heating systems. Eventually there will be a shortage or a cartel pulling our wallets away from us or we will have a bad cold winter or a hot unbearable summer. Either way, the oil guys and the utilities always get their day in the sun.

WFR is the commodity of which microelectronics is based. Within the next 36 months all heel will break loose and the industry is going to be taken to the cleaners by the silicon manufacturers, especially when the 300 mm wafer fabs start being built. This company should actually be considered a very conservative investment, in my opinion. However, it is a tech stock and of course has to be considered speculative. To me it is as speculative as finding a replacement for water.

But what do I know - I still beleive the poor people invested in CSGI and PRGS and INTV and MEDY and PSTA stand a chance to make their investments back and now I am even beginning to have my own personal doubts.

Regards
Andrew
