The BIG LIE of the right is that Reagan had it right by merely cutting taxes. They claimed more revenues came in. Maybe temporarily during the "sugar high" boom, but Reagan left us with the biggest deficits in hisory until GW came along and shattered his records. Poor Bush Sr. was left the task of paying off the Reagan debts, along with Clinton. That meant cutting defense ande raising taxes. Kerry will have to struggle to pay off the GW debts. But they're so big they might not be repaid until 2020. So now their big idea is to cut Social Security.
