One of the few that I know of. Palin, on the other hand, dodges most questions. In fact, she has complained that some of the interviewers didn't let her dodge. Like it was unfair of them to do that.
Not true at all. She has dodged no more questions than the next person. Perhaps she isn't as adept at it -- after all, Obama's been doing it for 18 months -- most of which, while not getting any media coverage at all, and the remainder, in which the media has filtered out anything negative.
Palin is getting better by the day. But this ability to manipulate the media -- essential for any politician -- is not the same as experience that qualifies one for the job of the presidency.
If one contrasts Palin's debate performance with some of the gotcha jabs by Couric and Charley, it is clear she has improved substantially on the subject of answering questions.
My concern is, if Obama is elected, who will cover for his lack of relevant experience? Palin knows how to do much of what she might be called upon to do -- obviously, by having been an administrator. There is no evidence at all that Obama will be able to perform that function. He has never met a payroll, never managed people (and don't come back with the campaign nonsense -- it is smallish, and frankly, isn't being managed by Obama), never had responsibility for a damned thing he's done, really, has never done ANYTHING that would qualify him for this office. |
