Instead of asking what you think are rhetorical questions which prove your point (they do not, as you will soon discover), let me suggest doing a little homework before you stick your foot in it any deeper. In fact you can append, delete or replace files provided the disk storage hasn't been exhausted. It's all done in software and WORM drives were doing it more than a decade ago.

I predict you will probably ignore this and ask me something about a survey which is beyond reproach just to change the subject. Let's see if you can't prove me wrong and go out there and dig up the facts. I know you can do it.
