And dont forget, pal, it's not just Enron, the entire energy cabal from Houston, EVERY ONE OF THEM including Jim Baker's Reliant closely allied with Bush-Cheney for many-many years, colluded GLADLY and illegally to deceive government and consumers alike and fraudulently gouge some 100 billion nationally. The entire Patroleum Institute was pushing it along too, a supposedly non-partisan organization but strictly partisan in 2000-2001.
Enron may have grown up during Clinton's years, but Clinton's administration was not in cahoots with them. Clinton's administration didn't know they were secretly laying the groundwork for the most massive fraud campaign in US history. Neither did Davis's.
And you know why? It's called DE-REGULATION, the GOP marching song, brought to the energy business with the help of GW Bush in Texas, and the entire energy business combined. And when an industry is completely de-regulated with no government inspectors allowed, they can get away with anything they want for awhile, and boy did they ever.
Don't even go there trying to claim Bushies weren't Enron and other energy thieves #1 allies in government ever since the beginning. Clintonites, if anything, were duped along with Davis and to this date most people, thanks to an RNC-Enron funded 7 million dollar TV disinformation ad campaign engineered by current RNC head and chief Enron lobbyist Ed Gillespie.
Remember when Cheney told us the energy crisis was real, California's fault, due to shortages and that we needed 1300 new power plants ASAP built at tax-payer expense by Duke, Bectel and Halliburton? The big lies go along with the big ripoffs, buddy. There is no separating them.
And since the guilty parties are the ones in power now, they wont arrest themselves. The main victim, California. And it ain't Davis's fault except he found out who the perps were too late. |
